YOUR PRIVACY

Privacy notice.

Using the public website

Outcast Gaming is a Rust gaming community. The public website does not currently use advertising trackers, analytics cookies or embedded third-party media. We do not currently run a visitor analytics service.

Essential sign-in cookies

The protected administrator area uses essential session and security cookies to sign in, prevent request forgery and maintain authentication. They are not advertising cookies. Administrator sessions expire after 30 minutes unless renewed through active use. Public visitors do not need to sign in.

Hosting and security

Our hosting and storage provider, Vercel, processes requests to deliver the website and protect it from abuse. Technical request data can include IP address, browser information, requested URLs and timestamps. Retention depends on the hosting service and its security settings. Administrator login rate limits use a keyed hash of the client IP address, rather than recording the raw IP address in the login-attempt record.

Website content and history

Administrator edits and previous content versions are retained in a private activity history so changes can be reviewed and restored. Images selected for publication are publicly accessible. Do not upload confidential images or personal information for public display.

Community links and store previews

Discord and Steam are separate services with their own privacy policies. Their services are contacted when you follow a link. Store packages are currently previews; payment collection and game delivery are not enabled.

Questions and choices

You can browse without optional tracking consent because optional tracking is not currently active. If analytics or payment services are introduced, this notice will be updated and any required consent controls will be added before activation. For questions about site data, contact the Outcast team through our Discord community.
